Planning with Purpose
From the outset, we worked closely with Council officers to define priorities and translate them into actionable steps. The strategy focuses on four interconnected themes—People, Place, Environment, and Economy—because sustainability isn’t one-dimensional. It’s about creating balance: safeguarding coastal landscapes and wetlands, reducing emissions, supporting renewable energy, and embedding circular economy principles into everyday life.
Community at the Core
Review of previous engagement work that was undertaken by Council was critical, as was review of over 25 years of past adopted documents. Through this approach, we captured what matters most to residents: protecting green spaces, tackling climate impacts like coastal erosion, improving waste and recycling, and ensuring the benefits of renewable energy flow back to the community. As IAP2-certified practitioners, we applied best-practice engagement principles to make sure every piece of feedback counted—and every idea had a pathway to action.
The Outcome
The result? A strategy that doesn’t just respond to today’s challenges but anticipates tomorrow’s. It positions Moyne as a leader in environmental stewardship, cultural respect, and climate resilience—while creating opportunities for green jobs, sustainable tourism, and healthier communities.
For us, this project reflects what we do best: turning complex contemporary challenges into clear, practical solutions that empower people and protect places. Because our responsibility isn’t just about producing a policy document—it’s about shaping a future everyone can share in.
